Aurora Hills (Chapter 1) is a point & click puzzle game with some narrative, set in one of the many grand North American national parks.
The thing is, I wanted narrative, and, despite the setup (solve the case of lots of missing people), I got puzzles. Furthermore, these puzzles are not so simple. They’re perfectly solvable, so not so bad if you’re in the mood for puzzles, but I’m not—I do puzzles at work (coding, debugging), so do not want them for relaxation. I want narrative, story, interaction: things that puzzles are not.
Hence why I think the narrative side of the game might have been overmarketed.
Incidentally, and rather important for some, at the time of writing, this game is free.
